Sleep on solid consistent beds. This is very good for the spine; you do not want to wake up again feeling that annoying pain.
Maintain a good sleeping posture. You can try sleeping on the sides; help to maintain the normal “lordosis” of the spine.
Engage in moderate aerobic exercise. This could involve walking, riding an exercise bicycle or swimming, and will help stretch the back muscles and reduce pain transmission.
Avoid those unnecessary sit-ups, after all they are unnecessary.
