    Staying SAFE at Home- Seniors

I recently got a call from my MOTHER (72) she fell in the street and crawled back to her home, she cracked her pelvis in two places and could not walk.

After her three days in the hospital I had her moved to the best REHAB community in the California. WOW...as an Eldercare Advisor, I am glad I knew my resources and understood the process. I also had my FATHER trained at the REHAB center on how to care for my Mother, when she gets released. He learned how to help her in the car/restroom/ up stairs and steps. I must say, BOTH of my parents were wonderful and listened to everything they were told.

My Mother's health insurance supplement assisted me with her insurance details and all her options and what it will pay for and further ideas down the road.

AARP is a great resource, and today they delivered my MOM;s new wheelchair. She needs it for about 6-7 weeks.
