    Over Medicating

I have seen a trend lately in my family advisement.  Their elder parent is over medicating themselves.  Not on purpose, just because they thought they needed to take all of the pills.

This is a extremely urgent safety issue.  Has this happened to your loved one?  What was the outcome?  I would love to bring this topic to life so other families can see the importance of this safety issue and prevent it from happening!

This problem of “overmedication” is increasing to almost epidemic proportions among the elderly. This is alarming because of its consequences. Overmedicated seniors can be mistakenly diagnosed with depression, dementia, and even Alzheimer’s disease.

This is a serious case that people must take into consideration. that's why it is important for our elderly loved ones to receive proper care and assistance so that this won't happen to them.
