    Driving

I have come across this recently...Veterans who want the benefit, but are still active and driving.  They have been to presentations at local Senior facilities, independent, but that provide transportation and meals, and are wanting the benefit to pay for the cost of living there.  Does anyone know where driving themselves fits into the mix?  Thank you.

    Re: Driving

First, it's not "AID & ATTENDANCE". It's Non-Service Related Disability Pension. Yeah, stupid and confussing but that is what the benefit is.

    1. any vet over 65 is 100% Non-service Disabiled. But not Rated.

Then there are 2 ratings: 1. Homebound - cant drive worth about 300 less than A&A.  2. Aid & Attendance - needs assistance and cant drive.

Benfit is based on 1. NOT where you live but what your condition is. 2. How much NET income you have after medical and care expenses are subtacted. (yes they also look at assets but thats a side issue)
