    Moving Services

Be sure to check your local area for professional moving services.  Often time there are very experienced services that can provide assistance with all aspects of moving, packing and coordination.  Your A Place for Mom Advisor should have some great contacts.

I completely agree but also want to add that some of these services can also coordinate all aspects of downsizing including getting a house ready for sale, sorting/organizing contents, working with auctioneer houses and even purchasing the house.  These downsizing experts can save you and your family time and frustration!

I never even thought about the downsizing aspect of moving!  I have a lot to learn!

The community your loved one is moving into can also be a great resource for a local, REPUTABLE moving company that works often with seniors and their families.  I'm hesitant to choose a company out of the phone book and like to use the communities knowledge first.
