Good morning!

 I would like to see a new area about senior fraud.  I have had several families ask me about the sweepstakes fraud to seniors as well as the telemarkeitng problems, I have researched these topics and would like to share several articles and information with the group. I know it is a bigger problem than most of us really understand.  In fact just this week, my husband is helping someone with dementia and learned he had five dollar bills in over ten envelopes ready to be sent!  

 I am not sure what category or folder I should use to place this helpful information.  Thank you for any suggestion you might have.  I am still fairly new to this site and need all the help I can get!!

You're right, senior fraud is a very important topic for the community to discuss! There is a sub-forum under legal and financial matters called frauds and scams.  This is the best place to post the articles and research you mention in your post.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Possibly we could have an area on the forum where families that we have helped could go on and add their thoughts.  So many families want to donate to us or some how pay us in return for helping them...well this would be a great answer to give them....send them the link and ask them to "pay it forward" by telling others in the online community forum how they were helped by APFM.

I would love to see an article on knee replacement surgery for the elderly.  My 93 year old Grandmother is about to go in for a knee replacement and it's been/going to be a learning experience.  For example, we were told that due to her age, she will likely experience disorientation after the surgery because of the anesthesia.

Smal update:  My grandmother is doing really well.  She's had some trials and tribulations, but she did not experience any disorientation.
