Moving Mom from Florida to Arizona

My mom is 90 and currently recovering from a broken hip--she will need at least another month of rehab therapy.  She has been a resident of an Independent Living facility in Florida for about 5 years; even before the broken hip, she needed an aide to come in 3 X per day to help with dressing, showering, medications, food delivery, and colostomy care.  She is all alone in Florida with no family members close by to visit and check on her regularly.  I want to move her to an Assisted Living facility in Arizona, close to where I live, as soon as she is able (after rehab).  My question: how does one make travel arrangements for a frail, elderly person who may need care assistance during the trip?  There are no non-stop flights from my mother's city to mine; she would have to change planes once.  I am not sure I am capable of caring for her by myself on an all-day trip, which is what this would be.  I  know the airlines have wheelchairs available, but my mom has so many physical challenges right now, I have no idea how to accomplish getting her moved across the country.  Any suggestions you may have for me would be most welcome!

    Hello

My only suggestion is to rent a private plane and carer, if you've got money join Quintessentially.com I am sure they can arrange a door to door service, good luck

I suggest hiring a caregiver who can assist you all throughout the trip and can agree with your other terms like the number of times the home health aide will swing by your house to provide long term care to your mom. You can try independent caregivers or if you don't have the luxury of time you can just let a home care agency choose a caregiver who can provide the kind of care and support your mom needs.

Many Airline companies provide facility of transfer of medical patient from one place to another. You can use this service in which a attender will remains with the patient along with a junior doctor for emergency. This is a secure service you need not to worry more about this.
