Power of attorney for ssi check

Hello, I am new here, I have been speaking with Sara Danettell, very helpful. I am trying to find out what my dad has to do, since he is willing, to give power of attorney to my aunt to handle his financial affairs and pay his bills, while helping him to move into a new place. Also more importantly how fast can this be done as well as making sure the SSI check is directled to her by mail or direct deposit before the next issue of checks. One more thing, does anyone know, if my dad signs power of attorney and my aunt pays bills to help my dad out of debt and keep a place to live in retirement, would he be able to change the power of attorney status and check mailing info so he can cash the check himself and not pay bills without anyone stopping him or knowing about it in a timely fashion. i just want to know if my aunt helps him, that he cant just get the check mailing info changed quickly to where he can spend it before my aunt finds out he was able to do such thing, just being careful, so if she gets into this for him, it doesnt backfire. i hope i explained this properly. Thanks for any help.
