    incontinence undergarments

Hi my Father just turned 80 and he is very bright and social but he has developed an incontinence problem. We have finally convinced him that he needs to wear incontinence underwear, the problem is he is a leg amputee. He has had one leg off at the hip since he was in his late 30's and it never slowed him down but we can't find incontinence underwear that will keep everything in with his missing leg. Does anyone know of any custom products either disposable or reusable? thanks

Tired, I would think that the way the modern (disposable) incontinence products work, he would still be okay in that they soak up fluid in a chemical substance and eliminate wetness immediately. The disposable protective underwear also have elastic leg gathers which should still help you somewhat. If those type products don't help try the attends super pads which should be worn with a tight brief which is sometimes called "mesh pants." You can find these items on most websites that sell incontinence products. Good luck.

I don't have experience in dealing with incontinence undergarments but I've found a site that might just help you. It seems that http://specialtyunderwearworld.com/index.html is geared in helping people with incontinence and making their lives much easier to live and more comfortable.
