Aging Tips: 8 Steps to Keeping Aging Brains Active

I am pleased to share with you that Sunrise Senior Living's National Director of Memory Care Services, Rita Altman, has been invited to author a blog on The Huffington Post, a leading news and blog website. As a blog author, Rita will share regular advice and observations on topics such as memory care, aging, and the relationship between caregivers and seniors. Rita's knowledge and expertise make her an incredible resource in this field and her new blog will serve as a resource for the general public on the science, programs, and resources that surround the topics of senior living and memory care.

Her first Huffington post, "Aging Tips: 8 Steps to Keeping Aging Brains Active," is an overview of the importance of the role that caregivers can play in the ongoing intellectual engagement with aging seniors.

As Rita writes, "After children are grown, careers end, houses are sold, many seniors lose their sense of purpose. Caregivers can play a vital role in helping seniors rediscover that purpose." Click here to read the full post.

It's really important that mental health (and not just physical health) is given focus. Seniors can really benefit from such ways and having someone to guide them through all the thinking and deciding can make things easier for them

The family support helps a lot the seniors to remain active. They can fight against any disease, if they are encouraged. They need proper care.
